1. Host Your Blog on Your Own Site
If you already have a Web site, you want to have your blog live on your own domain. Something like: blog.yoursite.com or www.yoursite.com/blog.
A tool like Blogger will allow you to FTP your blog onto your site. Installing a tool like WordPress on your server will allow you to set up your blog anywhere on your domain. Both of these are free and great. The key here is to have the blog reside on your own domain.
Many blog tools will allow you to set up a blog on a different domain that you don’t own. This makes moving to a new blog tool difficult. And all the links you get pointing to your blog give credit to the other domain.
2. Allow Comments
Businesses are often concerned about people commenting on their blog. However, the benefits far outweigh the negatives.
Comments give you more content on your site that you didn’t have to create yourself. Plus, you position yourself as a company that is dedicated to listening to its customers. You also get feedback in ways that were never before possible. And you’re helping control the social media message being formed by your customers.
3. Participate in Other Blogs
The quickest way to get others to know about your blog is to comment and be involved in other blogs within your industry. You often are able to make your name a link to your Web site when commenting on blogs. If you write thoughtful responses to a blog, you’ll often find people coming to your site to read more of what you have to say.
Whether you’re a small company, massive company, B2B or B2C, chances are that a blog could fit nicely within your Web site.

Next question: what is excessive in the length of a keyword-rich URL? We have seen clients use keyword URLs that have 10 to 15 words strung together with hyphens; or blogs - we have seen them even longer there. A typical WordPress blog will use the title of the post as the post slug, unless you defined something different and you can just go on and on and on. Can you give any guidelines or recommendations in that regard?
Matt Cutts: Certainly. If you can make your title four- or five-words long - and it is pretty natural. If you have got a three, four or five words in your URL, that can be perfectly normal. As it gets a little longer, then it starts to look a little worse. Now, our algorithms typically will just weight those words less and just not give you as much credit.
So, keep on eye on this and use the Permalink edit (underneath where your title is when you edit) to keep this in line with what Google prefers.

One of the most important decisions you can make is the choice of a domain name. A domain name that uses relevant keywords related to your topic of interest can have a profound impact on your readers being able to find your blog. From there, it’s up to you to maintain their interest by posting articles that are both interesting and relevant to your topic. Within each article you post, you should formulate each title with relevant keywords as well. This is another aid to your readers in finding information relative to their search.

It’s time for full-scale launch. After doing a soft launch a couple of weeks ago, the word has been spreading and I have been working frantically on making the website do what I think it should. After spending the weekend working on AJAX and IE compatibility issues, we’re ready to go. Feel free to spread the word. It’s on!

I got the paypal stuff finished and the requester piece done also. The requester will send a email to a cell phone to notify customer service for a callback whether that be voice, IM, or text msg on a cell phone.
I’ve always thought that customer service is one of the keys to success to any business and I think it’s imperative that Blogging24 provide the best customer service in the business.
Will work on the marketing pieces and it’s time to start promoting!
